Google Analytics Configuration

Is the money your organization spent for it's website really making a difference? With Google Analytics (a free traffic analysis tool) organizations can now track how many people are visiting their site, what they are most interested in and where they are visiting from. Google Analytics works by placing a small snippet of code on the bottom of each page your site. Each time a person visits your site, information is sent back to Google Analytics about the visitor. Besides telling you what your site is doing well, Google Analytics can also reveal what areas of your site need work. For example if you have a three step donation process with 15 fields on the second page, you may find there is a high bounce rate for the page which translates to people leaving before they've completed the donation. Google Analytics can also track links from emails and external sites, revealing information about what messaging works or what demographic is interested in your work.
